News from the SCAS Community
Racha Kirakosian (Professor of Medieval German, Albert-Ludwigs-Universität
Freiburg) received the Falling Walls Foundation's Science Breakthrough
of the
Year
Award 2022 in the category Social Science and Humanities. Her breakthrough
project combines medieval history with neurosciences, especially neuropsychology
in the field of mental imagery. Kirakosian was
a Fellow in
residence at SCAS in the
academic year 2019-20.
Anna Neubeck (Associate Professor of Geochemistry, Uppsala University) has
been awarded Bergstedtska priset (the Bergstedt Prize) by
The Royal Society of
Sciences at Uppsala. Neubeck was a Fellow in residence at
SCAS in the academic
year 2020-21.
Former SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow Johan Östling has been appointed
Professor of History at Lund University. He is also Director of the Lund Centre
for the
History of Knowledge. Östling was in residence at SCAS in
the spring
of 2013
and the autumn of 2014.
